Copied by a reliable hand, according to the colophon (f. 201v), from a manuscript known as Mäzgäbä Berhanä ‘Aläm of Betä Leḫem, which is owned by Qäň Masfen Ḫayla Maryam with baptismal name Gäbrä Maryam of Efrata in Mänzih (today Mänz).

1. F. 1r: Yarǝd, to whom the authorship of the Dǝggwa is ascribed, with other clergymen chanting in front of King Gäbrä Mäsqäl, who is also standing crowned and surrounded by his army–not so indicated.
